All FAQ

For beginners, we recommend the Marangu or Rongai routes. The Marangu Route offers comfortable hut accommodation and a gradual slope, while the Rongai Route features a more gentle ascent from the quieter northern side. Both routes provide good acclimatization opportunities and are ideal for first-time climbers.

Kilimanjaro climbs typically take between 5-9 days, depending on the route chosen. We recommend longer routes of 7-8 days for better acclimatization and higher summit success rates. The Northern Circuit is the longest at 9 days, while Marangu and Umbwe can be completed in 5-6 days.

The best times to climb Kilimanjaro are during the dry seasons: January to March and June to October. These periods offer more stable weather conditions, clearer skies, and better visibility. December to February tends to be warmer and clearer, while July to September is colder but with excellent visibility.
